Saxophonist Sonja LaBianca has made a series of poetic compositions on her debut album "About Room, Room to Be, Rooms" release May 2017 at Eget Værelse.

The music originates in the resonance phenomena from the acoustic saxophone when played against objects and in spaces with varying characteristics, while random sounds from the neighboring environment create a surrounding scenography and atmosphere.

The melodies seek minimalism in simple, repetitive patterns and textures of mechanical sounds. The album also presents duets for saxophone and other instruments where the interrelation and contrast of sound and timbre is explored in unison and complementary melodies.
